Webley type 54 bore Revolver
A lovely 54 bore Webley patent revolver by Drew Romsey, dating to the circa 1850's. 12 inches total length, with a 5 1/4 inch barrel.
These revolvers are double action only, with a particularly good build quality. The cylinder indexes and locks up well, with strong springs, and good percussion nipples. The bluding is almost certainly original, and in very good shape with a few small areas of wear only.
The case could be a modern reproduction, although could be a re-finished antique, with what looks to be age related wear to the lining.
Complete with a tin of empty caps, hawksley pattern powder flask & measure, some heeled conical slugs/ round balls for display, and a turnscrew - this is a very smart looking set for the cased collector.
